Job Summary
Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior building areas, including grounds, common spaces, and snow/debris removal. Operate hand and power tools for trash management, painting, drywall, and fixture repairs. Replace light bulbs, clean fixtures, and prepare vacant units for new tenants. Escort and monitor vendors while performing basic maintenance functions alongside the maintenance team. Respond quickly to emergency situations and customer concerns, adhering to an after-hours on-call rotation with a 40-minute campus response time. Identify and report work orders for maintenance needs. Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives regarding safe work habits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Custodial experience with willingness to learn general maintenance tasks
- Demonstrate proficiency in verbal communication
- Possess strong customer service skills
- Must have troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday during day shift
- Ability to move and lift to 50lbs and navigate up and down stairs
- Be able to participate in an after-hours on-call duty rotation and respond to the campus within 40 minutes
