Job Summary
Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior building spaces, including grounds, common areas, and snow removal. Remove trash and refuse, use hand and power tools for repairs, painting, and drywall, and replace fixtures. Escort vendors, respond to emergency situations and customer concerns, and participate in an after-hours on-call rotation. Identify and report maintenance work orders while complying with safety codes and regulations. Work 40 hours weekly during the day shift, lifting up to 50 pounds, to support the maintenance department at Seattle University.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Custodial experience with willingness to learn general maintenance tasks
- Demonstrate proficiency in verbal communication
- Possess strong customer service skills
- Must have troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday during day shift
- Ability to move and lift to 50lbs and navigate up and down stairs
- Be able to participate in an after-hours on-call duty rotation and respond to the campus within 40 minutes
