Job Summary
Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of Downtown Container Park by performing regular surface and deep cleaning of restrooms, flooring, and common areas. Wipe high-touch surfaces, scrub walls and baseboards, and promptly respond to spills, accidents, and biohazard situations following health and safety protocols. Remove graffiti, manage waste disposal to prevent leakage, and ensure proper recycling of cardboard boxes. Use hazard signage for wet floors, store chemicals responsibly, and conduct regular walkthroughs to spot clean and re-clean problem areas. Treat all equipment and furniture with care while maintaining accountability for keys and supplies. Communicate clearly with management regarding maintenance concerns or supply shortages. Work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays to support the open-air shopping center's operations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be over 18 years of age
- Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to withstand prolonged walking, standing, bending, pushing, climbing and kneeling
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors and be exposed to environmental factors such as excessive noise, seasonal heat and cold, hard to reach and unclean work areas, cigarette smoke, and hazardous materials and equipment
- Must be able to use the equipment associated with the position, including but not limited to carts, vacuums, chemicals and all other cleaning equipment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis
- Excellent Guest service skills and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year of janitorial or cleaning experience
