Job Summary
Portables technician role based in Perth Fire division installing, servicing and maintaining portable fire protection equipment including hose reels, hydrants, extinguishers, and testing of smoke detectors; servicing portable fire equipment on customer premises and advising on safety systems to meet Australian Standards; using power tools to install/repair portable fire equipment; potential overtime when traveling to remote sites; using Field Service mobile app to plan schedules; training and career progression opportunities with Chubb Fire & Security; strong focus on customer service and ability to communicate with clients on site; must be able to work away from home for remote sites and hold a valid driver’s licence; white-card holder; no degree requirement stated.”,
Required Qualifications
- FPAS or Certificate II in Fire Protection preferred or willing to obtain with in house training
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Australia Citizen or Permanent Resident
- A construction industry white card (or ability to obtain one)
- Some experience in a similar role responsible for basic maintenance and/or mobile service delivery is desirable
- Good time management and organisational skills
- The ability to work away from home when required – Remote sites
- Demonstrate efficiency through prior time and route planning
- Be a proactive member of the team
