Job Summary
Oversee daily portable ready-mix concrete plant operations, including batching, production, quality control, maintenance, and site personnel management. Coordinate production schedules to meet customer demands, maintain material inventory, and troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards while managing equipment setup and relocation at new project sites. Build relationships with customers, drivers, and contractors across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. Alternatively, operate computerized batching systems to produce quality concrete by accurately batching materials according to mix designs and monitoring production. Perform routine equipment inspections, maintain accurate production records, and communicate schedules with drivers and project personnel. Both roles require willingness to travel throughout West Texas for remote project environments.
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing ready-mix concrete plants
- Strong understanding of concrete production, mix designs, and quality control
- Leadership experience supervising plant personnel
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently in remote project environments
- Willingness to travel throughout West Texas and relocate between project sites as needed
- Experience operating a ready-mix batch plant
- Knowledge of batching software and computerized control systems
- Understanding of concrete materials and quality requirements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and in fast-paced construction environments
- Willingness to travel to project locations throughout West Texas
- Ready-mix concrete experience
