Job Summary
Oversee 24/7/365 railyard operations at the Eastern Passage facility, coordinating multiple operational units to ensure services are delivered to customers while maintaining safety, quality, and client satisfaction. Lead and develop teams, communicate instructions clearly, monitor compliance with safety regulations, and drive safety initiatives and operational planning aligned with regional goals. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safe, timely, and efficient movement of product from arrival through yard exit.
Required Qualifications
- Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills with demonstrated experience leading and coordinating teams in a fast-paced operational environment
- Proven leadership abilities with strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build positive working relationships and effectively resolve workplace conflicts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) with the ability to use these tools for reporting, communication, scheduling, and data management
- Experience working with a unionized workforce is considered an asset
- Rail and/or automotive industry experience is considered an asset
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing demands, and support operational efficiency while maintaining a high standard of safety and accountability
- Satisfactory criminal background check required
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driver’s abstract required
