Job Summary
Teach assigned clinical courses based on approved syllabi and implement evaluation methods outlined in the curriculum. Collaborate with nursing program administration to complete additional assignments and evaluations derived from professional experiences. Supervise and maintain simulation/skills lab laboratories and equipment when instructing in clinical settings. Attend adjunct orientation and required clinical agency orientation before the start of each semester. Participate in end-of-course program reports and evaluations while adhering to School of Nursing policies. Teach an 8.5-hour clinical in the Greater Chicago area on-site at the weekday campus during the Summer 2026 term.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree or higher in Nursing
- Unencumbered Illinois License or the ability to get an Illinois License
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an RN in the related clinical area
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to teach an 8.5 hour clinical in the Greater Chicago area
- Must be available for weekday programs taught on-site at the Chicago campus
- Must attend adjunct orientation before the start of each semester
- Must adhere to School of Nursing policies and procedures as outlined in the nursing student and faculty handbooks
- Must participate in end of course program reports and evaluations
- Must attend required clinical agency orientation, if applicable
- Must supervise and maintain laboratories and equipment if teaching in the simulation/skills lab
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience teaching BSN undergraduate nursing students in either theory or clinical
