Job Summary
Seasonal, part-time Poolside Grill Bartender at Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville. Responsibilities include serving drinks and snacks efficiently, greeting members by name and verifying accounts, maintaining knowledge of beer, wine and liquor, following bar checklists, preparing all drink orders for members and service staff, circulating on the pool deck to take orders, storing and inventorying alcohol, keeping beverages securely stored, and supporting promotions and promotions ideas. Must adhere to Virginia ABC laws, complete a written test on alcohol offerings within two weeks, and complete TIPS training within one month. Must be 21+ years old, physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for up to seven hours, and able to work 2–4 shifts weekly with nights and weekends, including holidays. Previous bartending experience is preferred but not required; serving experience is required if no bartending experience. The role emphasizes professionalism, customer service, beverage knowledge, and compliance in a fast-paced, high-traffic poolside environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
- Must be able to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time up to seven (7) consecutive hours
- Complete a written test on alcohol offerings within two weeks of hire
- Complete TIPS training within one month of hire
- Previous bartending experience preferred but not required. If candidate has no previous bartending experience, previous serving experience is required
