Job Summary
Train, supervise, and counsel staff to ensure efficient outlet operations, while organizing pre-shift meetings to communicate house counts and menu changes. Schedule and direct work assignments, ensuring compliance with sanitation, safety, and all local, state, and federal regulations. Visually inspect facilities and food quality, taking corrective action to maintain standards and resolve guest complaints promptly. Monitor inventory forecasts, oversee dining setups, and verify temperatures and preparation methods across kitchen and service areas. Review customer satisfaction metrics for breakfast, room service, and barista, recommending operational policy adjustments as needed. Participate in developing new menus and promoting cross-selling of hotel outlets.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Thorough knowledge of room service operations including foods, beverage, supervisory aspects, service techniques, and guest interaction
- Knowledge of beverage operations and wines
- Strong mathematical abilities in order to determine and track inventory, controls, revenue productions, and other hotel financial statements
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with guests and employees, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and to collect accurate information and to resolve problems
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods
- Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system
- Interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction
- Assist the General Manager in building and managing a team of FOH and BOH team members
- Implement, oversee, and maintain all company policies and procedures
- Create a positive company culture of a commitment to excellence
- Ability to create a forecast and budget for all controllable costs
- Maintain standards according to DOH, fire safety, and employment regulations
- Food Service Sanitation certification
- Alcohol Service permit (if state required)
- CPR certification

- Must exemplify the highest standards in honesty, integrity, humility and leadership
- Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs
- Walking or standing to a significant degree
- Reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing

Desired Qualifications
- Four-year college degree
- At least one year experience in related field
