Job Summary
Oversee pool operations for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area: enforce lifeguard rotations, respond to emergencies, maintain a clean pool area, provide swim lessons and swim team coaching, and manage chemical balance on a regular schedule while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Lead the lifeguard and pool attendant teams, coordinate coverage during operations and transitions to nightly security, and promote a safe, well-maintained aquatic facility.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Current and valid American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
- First Aid and CPR certifications
- Experience teaching swim lessons or coaching swim team is highly desirable
- At least 2 years' of aquatic experience preferred
- Ability to pass a pre-employment practical skills test in the water
- Flexible schedule required, including weekends and holidays
- Physical Demands: Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time; lift and carry up to 50 pounds; work in outdoor environments in varying weather conditions
