Pool Pharmacist

Job Summary
The Pool Pharmacist provides clinical support for pharmaceutical dispensing and coordinates with prescribers and nursing services to ensure quality drug therapy for patients. Responsibilities include interpreting prescriptions, verifying filled prescriptions, counseling clients on medication use, maintaining inventory, and participating in quality improvement activities. The candidate must possess a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD, a valid Wisconsin Registered Pharmacist license, and have strong attention to detail and mathematical skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited college or university
- Registered Pharmacist license with the State of Wisconsin required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a long-term care or mail order facility
- Experience with the FrameworkLTC pharmacy computer system
- Previous experience in providing health care services to the disabled
- Experience working with those with severe and persistent mental illnesses
- Previous experience with pharmacy automation including system interfaces
