Job Summary
Pool Maintenance Specialist Trainee will assist the Pool Maintenance Specialist to clean and maintain filled pools and facilities, including skimming, vacuuming, and applying chemical treatments. Responsibilities include deep cleaning pools, testing water chemistry (pH, chlorine, contaminants), maintaining daily logs, and assisting with routine repairs and equipment inspections. Training is provided by the Pool Service Specialist to ensure proper water chemistry, color, and clarity. Requires the ability to lift up to 80 pounds, strong customer-service skills, and basic math for calculating chemical additives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of related experience
- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Understanding of pool cleaning chemicals and equipment related to swimming pools
- Mechanical and manual labor skills related to aquatic facilities and equipment
- Math skills to calculate chemical additives and ratios
