Pool Maintenance Specialist Trainee

Job Summary
Maintain pools at client and associated facilities by skimming, vacuuming, and performing chemical treatments. Periodically empty pools for deep cleaning, including brushing and scrubbing walls, floors, and surfaces. Assist the Pool Service Specialist in testing water for pH, chlorine, bacteria, algae, and contaminants, then calculate and add chemical treatments to correct balance and eliminate issues. Inspect pool and equipment, and complete daily logs detailing chemical usage, water quality, repairs, and supplies. Requires high school diploma, one year of related experience, and ability to lift 80 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Understanding of pool cleaning chemicals and equipment related to swimming pools
- Mechanical and manual labor skills related to aquatic facilities and equipment
- Math skills to calculate chemical additives and ratios
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of related experience
- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at a time
- Adequate sight and hearing to properly interpret water analysis, equipment readings, and complete recordkeeping
- Physically able to perform all aspects of cleaning, checking, and monitoring pools and facilities
