Job Summary
Monitor pool cleanliness, supervise guest safety, and provide anticipatory service including seating, towels, and water delivery within five minutes. Take food and beverage orders using suggestive upselling, input them into the POS system, and serve items promptly while collecting payments and settling checks. Manage opening and closing duties, reconcile transactions, and report tips, injuries, or suspicious activity to management immediately. Maintain knowledge of liquor laws, menu items, and local attractions to resolve guest requests and complaints professionally.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Restaurant Server, Pool Attendant, or Guest Service-related position
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
- Liquor Commission Card and certification from an alcohol awareness program
- Legal age (18) in the County of Honolulu to serve alcoholic beverages
- CPR certification
- Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced outdoor luxury environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Professional, even-tempered personality
- Ability to anticipate guest needs
- Practice of emotional intelligence
- Ability to respond promptly
- Familiarity with all hotel services/features and local attractions and activities
- Ability to respond to guest inquiries accurately

- Ability to transport food & beverage orders (approx. 15-45 lbs.) to and from the kitchen
- Ability to carry/lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to reach up to 5 feet
- Ability to maintain stationary position for ½ to 1 hour throughout work shift
- Ability to work days, weekends and holidays
