Job Summary
Greet members and guests with a welcoming attitude, take food and beverage orders accurately, and deliver orders promptly while maintaining a positive demeanor. Manage dining areas by setting up and breaking down tables, refilling drinks, clearing dishes, and communicating effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service. Maintain a clean and organized work area, follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, and report any equipment issues or safety concerns to a supervisor immediately. Work collaboratively with servers, cooks, and support staff, attend pre-shift meetings, and assist with basic prep or restocking as needed. This seasonal part-time role runs from mid-May through August, primarily covering evenings and weekends, with a starting rate of $17 per hour plus service charge pool.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and extended shifts during peak season
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift moderate weights (e.g., boxes of supplies)
- Working knowledge of food safety guidelines and local health regulations
- Basic computer proficiency for point-of-sale systems, scheduling, and inventory management
- Strong customer service and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field
- Previous supervisory or management experience in food service, hospitality, or a related field
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and motivate a diverse team
