Job Summary
Ensure members follow proper pool area use and maintain a safe, positive atmosphere in accordance with YMCA policies. Respond immediately to emergency situations, complete related reports, and remain calm under pressure. Attend all assigned meetings and trainings, including New Employee Orientation within 30 days of hire. Assist in any emergencies and model the Crossroads YMCA staff pledge to support participants. Build professional relationships that encourage diversity and inclusion while promoting participation in various YMCA programs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years of age
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform job responsibilities
- Ability to work in a variety of environments, specifically those subject to extreme humidity/dampness and heat
- Ability to communicate verbally, including projecting the voice across distances, and communicating with emergency response personnel over the telephone
- Remain alert with no lapses of consciousness
- Always maintain a neat and professional appearance
Desired Qualifications
- Current First Aid, CPR/AED preferred or achieved with in the first 30 days of hire
