Job Summary
Clean, prepare, and stock supplies for the pool and health club while maintaining the area by vacuuming, washing decks, flushing gutters, and removing trash. Assist guests with equipment needs, enforce safety and usage rules, and report incidents of dissatisfaction, theft, or injuries to management. Operate cleaning equipment including vacuums and mops, compile shift reports on accidents or injuries, and participate in task forces as requested. Perform special projects and other duties assigned by management while adhering to all safety, sanitary, and emergency procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School education, equivalent, or related experience
- Ability to swim
- On time and at work when scheduled
- In proper uniform
- Consistent professional and positive attitude and actions when communicating with guests and associates
- Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service
- Ability to understand and comply with proper clean techniques, procedures and brand standards
- Ability to operate a vacuum, mop and properly use cleaning supplies
- Ability to understand, comply and help to enforce pool and health club safety and usage rules
- Ability to remain calm, take proper steps, and direct others in an emergency
- Ability to timely compile facts/figures, identify and investigate issues and resolve basic matters
- Ability to follow an appropriate course of action based on policies and procedures
- Ability to operate a computer, phone and other office equipment
- Attention to details with good organizational and efficient time management skills
- Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective listening and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient
- Extended standing and walking
- Climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling and lifting up to 100 lbs
- Close vision with or without corrective lenses
Desired Qualifications
- Certified in CPR, Basic First Aid and familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred
- Ability to obtain first aid certification
