Job Summary
Pool Attendant provides on-site pool-area care and guest safety: maintain and sanitize the pool area, balance pool chemicals, monitor capacity, enforce posted rules, ensure safety equipment is present and functioning, perform pool-side cleaning (filters, skimmers, bathrooms, deck), assist with clubhouse and common-area upkeep, and report any non-working items to supervision. Requires ability to work seasonally, stand for long periods, follow instructions, and communicate effectively; includes routine duties like cleaning, basic computer use, and maintaining safety standards. Certifications such as COP may be required by state law; must be18+ and hold a valid driver’s license. This is a part-time role at Sun Communities with benefits and opportunities for growth.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
- Some High School Education (Required)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to endure seasonal temperatures
- Flexibility to respond to community needs during non-business hours
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Good verbal communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and internet
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Certified Pool Operator (COP), as required by state law
