Job Summary

Conduct overnight sleep studies by collecting patient histories, educating patients on procedures, and preparing, calibrating, and applying sensors and electrodes. Administer tests including PSG, MSLT, MWT, PAP titrations, and oxygen studies while monitoring equipment for artifact-free signal acquisition and recording clinical events. Score sleep stages and clinical events following standardized guidelines to generate precise reports for physician interpretation. Maintain and calibrate sleep study equipment while adhering to safety and infection control procedures. This full-time, direct hire position offers a $25,000 sign-on bonus and supports certification and continuing education. Work with cutting-edge diagnostic technology in a collaborative clinical team within the Finger Lakes region.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in Polysomnography, Respiratory Therapy, or Nursing
  • Eligible for or hold RPSGT certification (within 18 months of hire)
  • Valid NYS license: Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory Technician, or Polysomnographic Technologist
  • BLS certification (required within 90 days of hire)
  • Clear vision, hearing, and manual dexterity for technical tasks
  • Ability to stand, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be available for overnight sleep studies
  • Must be available for weekend shifts
  • Must be available for weekend shifts

Desired Qualifications

  • ACLS certification
  • Experience with cutting-edge sleep diagnostic technology
