Polysomnographic Technologist in Neurology provides and evaluates overnight polysomnograms under medical supervision, sets up and calibrates PSG equipment (PSG, MSLT, MAD, Inspire, CPAP/BIPAP/ASV), supervises technicians, analyzes polysomnography data, conducts patient interviews and prepares for high-risk patients, with duties including equipment maintenance and lab organization; required to possess or obtain BLS within one month of hire and maintain BRPT/RPSGT/RST certifications as applicable; salary range $25.30-$37.94 hourly (annualized to $52,624-$78,915), full-time role in WashU lab environment with comprehensive benefits.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date
  • Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements)
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT) - BRPT
  • Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) - ABSМ

Desired Qualifications

  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS) must be obtained within one month of hire
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT) certification
  • Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) certification
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
