Polysomnographic Tech - Thurs/Fri/Sat Nights

Job Summary
Prepare adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and equipment for sleep disorders testing, then monitor polysomnograms while documenting per policy. Review assigned patient charts, greet patients, complete paperwork and pre-test assessments, apply recording sensors, and acclimatize patients to CPAP if applicable. Perform pre-recording calibration, monitor recordings during the evening with necessary interventions, and end recordings per protocol. Complete post-study documentation, remove sensors, and clean up as needed. Score polysomnograms as required and prepare reports for dictation. Assist in training, orientation, and competency assessments. Work 7 PM to 7 AM on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- good written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated expertise in sleep disorders, sleep activity, abnormalities, movement arousals, and respirations
- One (1) year experience in sleep study activity
- Current American Heart Association's Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
- current and unrestricted certification or registration in one of the following: Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
- 7P-7A
