Polysomnographic Tech - Thur/Fri/Sat Nights

Job Summary
Prepare adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and equipment for sleep disorders testing, then monitor polysomnograms while documenting per policy and intervening as needed. Apply recording sensors, acclimatize patients to CPAP if applicable, and perform pre-recording calibration. Score polysomnograms as necessary and prepare reports for dictation. Complete post-study documentation, remove sensors, and perform cleanup. Arrive on time to review activity lists, greet patients, complete paperwork, and pre-test assessments. Assist in training, orientation, and competency assessments. Requires one year of sleep study experience, current BLS certification, and BRPT or RPSGT registration. Schedule includes Thur/Fri/Sat nights from 7P-7A with weekend requirements.
Required Qualifications
- good written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated expertise in sleep disorders, sleep activity, abnormalities, movement arousals, and respirations
- One (1) year experience in sleep study activity
- Current American Heart Association's Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
- current and unrestricted certification or registration in one of the following: Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
- Work Hours: 7P-7A
