Job Summary
As a Polysomnographic Tech I, you will perform various sleep studies under physician supervision to diagnose sleep disorders. Responsibilities include conducting routine patient assessments, scoring sleep studies, documenting results, administering oxygen and CPAP/BIPAP as directed, and maintaining safety protocols. The role also requires attendance at training sessions and maintaining necessary certifications. Effective teamwork and communication with patients and staff to enhance departmental goals are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Registration by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT) and/or the American Board of Sleep Medicine (RST)
- Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees
- Practices universal precautions at all times
