Political Science - Full-Time, Temporary, Non-Tenure Track Visiting Assistant Professor

Job Summary
Teaches political science and public administration courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels, advises and mentors students, participates in departmental and university service, and supports program goals for the Master of Public Administration in a full-time, temporary one-year appointment. The role requires ability to teach in-person, hybrid, and online formats; engage in service at multiple institutional levels; and contribute to maintaining department and student records in accordance with university policies. A doctoral degree in a related field is required, and candidates should demonstrate strong teaching ability and professional skills.
Required Qualifications
- earned doctorate such as a Ph.D., D.P.A., and/or J.D. in public administration, political science, or related field
- degree from a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution (exceptions require approval from the Office of Academic Affairs)
- university teaching experience
- demonstrated excellence in teaching
- excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- willingness to teach in-person, hybrid, and online formats as needed
