Job Summary
Polisher to clean, de-burr, polish and grind metal parts using hand tools or powered equipment; operate a portable grinder or buffer to hold parts against an abrasive belt or buff wheel; maintain individual production goals; change tools on power equipment; apply abrasive compounds to facilitate polishing; may encounter hazardous chemicals; follow environmental and waste disposal practices; reports to Polishing Team Leader; required reading/writing in English and comprehension of work instructions and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Six months related experience
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
- Must be able to read and understand work instructions and safety procedures.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
