Review work assignments and prioritize tasks based on manufacturing plans and instructions from leads. Interpret Manufacturing Enhanced Data Sheets, drawings, and Boeing specifications to determine work requirements and verify parts match work orders. Set up and operate buffing lathes and polishing machines, dressing wheels to achieve correct contours and applying compounds to achieve satin or gloss finishes on aircraft components. Perform buffing and polishing processes on interior and exterior parts, rack production parts for chemical treatments, and clean parts with solvents before and after masking. Conduct visual inspections of exterior skin quality for defects such as scratches, cracks, pits, and corrosion, using precision measuring instruments as necessary. Maintain personal protective equipment and handle hazardous materials in compliance with approved safety procedures. This role is primarily 2nd shift with a total pay range of $26.32 to $56.36 per hour.
