Job Summary
Polish Reviewer/Editor/Certifier needed to support the Department of Justice (DOJ) Linguistic Support Services (LSS). Responsibilities include translation, interpretation, transcription of diverse legal materials and media; handling sensitive information with confidentiality; working with specialized terminology across medical, legal, financial, and technical domains; requirement to use CAT tools (SDL Trados Studio); must have ILR 4+ and relevant law-enforcement/legal experience; position supports remote and CONUS locations with potential travel; active Public Trust or higher clearance required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the required language with superior English and editing skills.
- ILR 4 minimum or equivalent language/translation test.
- Must have lived 3 of the last 5 years in the U.S. (not necessarily consecutive).
- At least 1 year of experience working with a law enforcement and/or legal department.
- U.S. citizen.
- Proficient in English and foreign-language vocabularies used in formal, legal, diplomatic, and casual contexts; knowledge of specialized vocabulary related to Government missions; ability to translate without changes, omissions, or additions; maintain tone and register; adherence to linguist ethics.
- Proficient in using CAT tools with emphasis on SDL Trados Studio.
- Active Public Trust or higher security clearance
- Location: Remote / National Capitol Region / Various CONUS Locations
- Travel: Some travel may be required.
