Job Summary
Screen transactions to determine authority and either process or refer to an underwriter in accordance with established guidelines. Gather, validate, and apply required rating elements from applications, underwriting instructions, rating bureaus, and company guidance for new and renewal business. Accurately enter policy data and review system output to ensure correct application of rating factors. Monitor and complete work tasks assigned to the Rapid Response queue, research and resolve routine to complex issues for Credit, Claims, and Premium Audit, and provide endorsement quotes and process policy transactions including declinations and reinstatements. Respond to inquiries from agency partners, regulatory organizations, and the Rapid Response Team while handling service-related requests such as loss runs and experience modifiers. Provide guidance and support to new underwriters and staff on rating, workflow, and underwriting support processes. This role supports Underwriting/Programs by processing routine to complex multi-line, multi-state transactions within established production capacity.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of business or customer service experience
- Strong Analytical Thinking skills
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
- Hybrid work arrangement (3 days in local office, 2 from home)
- Office location in Atlanta GA, Charlotte NC, Chicago IL, Dallas TX, Farmington Hills MI, Indianapolis IN, Phoenix AZ, St. Louis MO, or Tampa FL
