Job Summary
Manage the Field Marketing and Underwriting Support and Service team by assigning duties, providing performance feedback, and training direct reports to ensure productivity and efficiency. Design and oversee the Associate Underwriting development program while evaluating team capabilities to allocate resources effectively and meet quality standards. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance program efficiency and scalability, establishing performance metrics to generate actionable insights for decision-making. Partner with cross-functional teams and offshore leadership to optimize resource sharing, define training models, and sustain service levels using both onshore and overseas resources.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent work-related experience
- 5 years commercial lines underwriting experience with thorough underwriting workflow and tasks
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers
- Demonstrated successful ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within department, across the organization and with external customers
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to function in a fast paced, highly visible, and changing environment
- Ability to think strategically with supporting analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity
- 3 days a week in the office and 2 from home
