Job Summary
Conduct research on China's S&T, economic, and legislative landscapes, specifically regarding the publishing industry. Analyze developments to make evidence-based predictions on their implications and synthesize complex information into clear summaries for internal communication. Support the preparation of reports, presentations, or whitepapers, and assist in planning survey-type projects to gather insights from experts and stakeholders. Requires a Master's or Doctoral degree, fluency in English and Chinese, and proficiency with data processing tools. Six-month duration with possibility of renewal.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Master's or Doctoral degree in a relevant field, such as but not limited to Library and Information Science, Economics, International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy
- Knowledge or keen interest in academic publishing and global S&T, economic and geopolitical landscape
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to critically evaluate information from diverse sources
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese, with a keen attention to detail
- Skillful in data processing and presentation applications such as Microsoft suites
- Ability to work semi-independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and self-motivated attitude
