Job Summary

Conduct policy research and analysis on family defense, the family policing system, and racial equity by monitoring legislation, regulations, and court decisions at city, state, and federal levels. Gather and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to prepare research briefs, policy memoranda, and testimony for internal and external audiences. Support stakeholder engagement by maintaining records of policymakers, agencies, and community partners, while attending coalition meetings, legislative hearings, and webinars to share key takeaways. Assist in developing systems for tracking policy developments and advocacy opportunities through organized databases, trackers, and standardized workflows. Develop a semester-long special project aligned with CFR's priorities, conducting independent research and presenting findings to the team.

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or graduate student status
  • Demonstrated interest in CFR's and/or related work
  • Affiliation with an accredited program for academic credit internship and/or paid fellowship
