Job Summary
Conduct analysis and engagement related to climate action policies for the buildings, industry, and transportation sectors in British Columbia. Support the development of strategies to advance FortisBC's zero and low-carbon solutions across electric and gas utilities, ensuring compliance with the Clean Growth Pathway plan and internal greenhouse gas reporting frameworks. This temporary, full-time role offers flexible work options up to 85 days a year and includes short-term incentive eligibility. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited post-secondary institution in a relevant field such as environmental studies, political science, public affairs, business administration, or engineering
- Minimum of four to seven years related experience in energy industry
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent analytical skills and attention-to-detail with a focus on public policy analysis
- In-depth understanding of energy and climate strategies, GHG abatement, regulations, and policies
- Strong skills in the use of business analysis, financial evaluation methods, and project management
- Exceptional communications skills with a focus on government and stakeholder relations for GHG policy frameworks in Canada
- Demonstrated understanding of energy systems, modeling, and GHG abatement solutions
- Proven energy sector, utility and regulatory experience
- Option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs
