Policy Administration Data Analyst Manager

Job Summary
Lead a team of data analysts and associates to oversee reporting, analytics, and performance insights within Policy Administration. Manage team performance, workload prioritization, hiring, and professional development while designing, automating, and maintaining operational dashboards. Ensure reporting metrics accurately reflect policy activity, workflow volumes, and performance trends by validating outputs and establishing data governance processes. Analyze policy administration data to identify trends, risks, and process improvement opportunities, translating findings into actionable business recommendations. Partner with stakeholders across Operations, New Business, Compliance, Technology, Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing to deliver insights supporting strategic planning and operational efficiency. Provide leadership with ad hoc analyses and support departmental initiatives, utilizing Power BI, SQL, and CRM platforms to monitor digital self-service adoption and enhance customer experiences.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 5 years of policy administration or insurance operations experience with a focus on data analysis and reporting
- Experience developing operational dashboards and managing data workflows
- Power BI experience required
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or people leadership experience
- Strong proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
- Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of SQL
- Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and marketing tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex data to non-technical audiences
- Advanced analytical, mathematical, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
- Strong understanding of data analysis, databases, reporting tools, and system integrations
- Advanced problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
- Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and commitment to customer service
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively across departments
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 20 pounds
- Frequent sitting, computer use, fine hand manipulation, and visual concentration
- Frequent verbal communication and hearing
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and pushing/pulling
- Infrequent travel (less than 5%)
- Ability to perform work primarily in an office or remote environment
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Data Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Experience within life insurance, annuities, financial services, or other regulated industries preferred
