Police Officer - St. Rita's Medical Center

Conduct internal and external safety functions to support the general safety of BSMH facilities, including participation in investigations and arrests when warranted. Respond to radio and telephone calls for routine and emergency assistance by protecting patients, visitors, and employees through escorts, ground patrols, and hazard mitigation. Deter criminal activity via routine patrols of hospital property, parking lots, and decks while enforcing policies on parking, visitation, drug enforcement, and smoking. Monitor closed-circuit television for escalating situations and intervene in patient, visitor, or staff confrontations as appropriate. Document all duties in daily activity logs and incident reports, demonstrating understanding of emergency procedures, alarm response, and disaster plans. Maintain proficiency in defensive tools, restraint equipment, and access control software in alignment with healthcare regulations.
