Job Summary
Conduct internal and external safety functions by patrolling grounds, responding to radio and telephone calls, and enforcing policies such as visitation and drug regulations. Monitor closed circuit television, intervene in confrontations, and document all duties through daily activity logs and incident reports. Provide law enforcement services including making arrests, conducting investigations, managing property, and assisting in deescalating volatile situations while maintaining proficiency with defensive tools and restraint equipment. Respond to emergency situations and hospital alarms as designated, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, confidentiality, and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association certification
- Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy Certification
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience
- Non-violent crisis intervention training
- Firearms qualifications
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use, maintenance, and safety protocols for defensive tools and restraint equipment
- Maintain strong technical skills in radio communication, report writing, surveillance systems, and access control software
