Job Summary
Conduct internal and external safety functions by patrolling grounds, responding to radio and telephone calls for routine and emergency assistance, and mitigating environment of care safety hazards. Escort patients, visitors, and employees while enforcing policies including parking regulations, visitation rules, and drug enforcement. Monitor closed circuit television for escalating situations, intervene in confrontations, and document duties via daily activity logs and incident reports. Maintain proficiency with defensive tools, restraint equipment, and firearms, ensuring vehicles remain clean and free of non-work materials. Remain on assigned post, adhere to strict attendance and confidentiality standards, and complete mandatory education and training to maintain organization competencies.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association certification
- Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy Certification
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience
- Non-violent crisis intervention training
- Firearms qualifications
- Proficiency in the use, maintenance, and safety protocols for defensive tools and restraint equipment
- Strong technical skills in radio communication, report writing, surveillance systems, and access control software
