Job Summary
Respond to radio and telephone calls for routine and emergency assistance by patrolling hospital grounds, parking lots, and decks to deter criminal activity. Escort patients, visitors, and employees while mitigating safety hazards and intervening in confrontations as appropriate. Enforce policies including parking regulations, visitation rules, and drug enforcement, while monitoring closed-circuit television for escalating situations. Document daily activities and incident reports, maintain proficiency with defensive tools and restraint equipment, and remain on assigned posts ensuring vehicles are clean and free of non-work materials.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association certification
- Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy Certification
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience
- Non-violent crisis intervention training
- Firearms qualifications
- Proficiency in the use, maintenance, and safety protocols for defensive tools and restraint equipment
- Strong technical skills in radio communication, report writing, surveillance systems, and access control software

- Long-distance or air travel as needed- not to exceed 10% travel
