Job Summary
Conduct routine and complex criminal investigations, process crime scenes, preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and prepare reports for court. Manage caseloads involving felonies, child abuse crimes, and white-collar offenses while performing surveillance, obtaining search warrants, and apprehending suspects. Act as a first responder for medical, fire, and infrastructure emergencies; patrol city areas on foot, bicycle, or vehicle; check businesses and residences for illegal activity. Respond to calls, secure scenes, make arrests, control traffic, enforce DUI laws, issue citations, and investigate accidents. Complete comprehensive daily reports, submit accident and offense forms, and testify in court when required.
