Job Summary
Provides safety for visitors, patients, and employees; monitors environment for potential hazards and notifies appropriate personnel; primarily remains on standby in the Emergency Room to deter and prevent acts of violence; prepares and submits written incident reports; enforces hospital policies and coordinates with Security Specialists; operates communications equipment; responds to both emergency and non-emergency situations; promotes security awareness among hospital staff; demonstrates ability to access hospital properties and respond to emergencies with appropriate physical effort.
Required Qualifications
- Must have certified completion of an approved police training academy and be a sworn law enforcement officer with police powers in the City of Richmond, Virginia.
