Job Summary
Conduct day-to-day patrol duties in Lake Havasu City, including responding to calls, enforcing laws, and maintaining public safety during day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. Operate department-issued vehicles equipped with Axon Fleet cameras, mobile computers, and speed radar while utilizing AI report writing software. Work 10- or 12-hour shifts with potential pay differentials, adhering to a schedule that may include outdoor exposure to extreme temperatures. Certified officers may receive hiring incentives including relocation expenses and certification pay, while trainees earn approximately $29.90-$41.07/hr.
Required Qualifications
- Police Officer - AZ State certification as a Police Officer
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to pass a background investigation
- High school diploma or GED
- Arizona driver's license (or the ability to get one)
- Successfully completed an AZPOST approved Police Officer Academy
- Currently possess an active AZPOST Peace Officer Certification
- Successfully completed a sworn Police Officer Academy
- Currently possess an active Peace Officer Certification
- Must be available to participate on the date/time scheduled for pre-approval testing
- Must successfully finish each component of physical agility testing
- Accumulate a minimum combined score of 384 points on physical agility testing
- Submit to a pre-employment drug test
- Submit to a polygraph examination
- Pass a psychological evaluation
- Pass employment eligibility verification (EEV) requirements
- Pass alcohol/drug screening test
- Pass City paid post-employment medical examination
