Job Summary
Patrol school buildings to ensure safety and security for students, staff, visitors, and district property; enforce school rules and policies; conduct security patrols; monitor entrances/exits; assist administrators with investigations; maintain log of visitors; prevent unauthorized access and exits; maintain crowd control as needed; requires knowledge of laws and codes related to school safety and security, and ability to communicate effectively; must complete Indiana Law Enforcement Tier 1 basic course and 40-hour pre-basic; prior law enforcement experience preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required; travel to district buildings and professional meetings as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Must have/be able to successfully complete the Indiana Law Enforcement Tier 1 basic course and provide certification.
- Must have / be able to successfully complete Indiana Law Enforcement 40 hour pre-basic and provide certification.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 1 year experience and Indiana Law Enforcement Academy basic Tier 1 course or 2 years experience in law enforcement
- Must be able to meet Minimum requirements to pass the Indiana Law Enforcement entrance Physical Exam.
