Job Summary
Command the assigned Operations Division, overseeing uniform patrol, K-9 operations, and field supervision to ensure efficient delivery of services and compliance with departmental policies. Manage personnel deployment, shift operations, and response to calls for service while monitoring operational performance and addressing emerging public safety concerns. Supervise direct reports, conduct performance evaluations, and handle employee complaints and discipline matters. Lead the Field Training Officer Program to ensure successful onboarding and development of new officers. Collaborate with campus partners, external law enforcement agencies, and community stakeholders to implement proactive crime prevention strategies and foster community engagement. Assist with operational planning, policy implementation, and resource allocation to support the Department's mission and campus safety objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- Law Enforcement Certification
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of business and management principles
- Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations
- Ability to establish department goals and objectives that support the strategic plan
- Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others
- Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others
