Police Dispatcher

Monitor live feeds from 200+ CCTV cameras, 14 fire alarm systems, and 9 security systems while processing an average of 500 calls for assistance monthly. Respond to calls for service, campus radio alerts, and walk-ins by evaluating information, prioritizing situations, and dispatching campus police or contacting Metro Louisville emergency services. Provide verbal directions and function as the campus information representative for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Maintain accurate logs of dispatch activity and lost/found property, utilizing restricted access to Jenzabar to ensure record confidentiality. Create work orders upon request and communicate concisely with campus staff, outside agencies, and the public.
