Job Summary
Provide welding support as a subject matter expert, troubleshoot welding techniques and equipment issues, and conduct hands-on training for welders. Responsibilities include maintaining welding equipment, proposing process improvements, conducting classroom training on welding safety and processes, and overseeing training records for welders. Requires strong welding skills, 3-5 years of experience with FCAW, SAW, SMAW, familiarity with weld inspection tools, and knowledge of AWS welding specifications.
Required Qualifications
- 3 - 5 years FCAW, SAW, and SMAW welding experience
- Proficient using various weld inspection tools such as amp/volt/wire feed/gas flow meters, fillet weld gages, undercut gages
- Able to read and comprehend welding symbols, welding procedure specifications, work instructions, drawings, bill of materials
- Working knowledge of AWS D1.1 welding procedure specification
- Working knowledge of weld filler materials and base materials
- Possess written and oral communication skills
- Regular and predictable attendance
Desired Qualifications
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
- AWS Certified Welding Educator (CWE)
- Welding related associate degree
