Job Summary
Design software applications and interfaces to enable the integration and test of foreign adapted components within the IBCS system. Ensure IBCS and external components develop solutions compliant with technical requirements for critical FMS milestone events. Create, refine, and assess system engineering efforts for architectural maturation and emerging capabilities. Lead briefings to AMD MC leadership on integration status, risks, and timelines for required software/hardware interfaces. Coordinate with supplier managers to align interfacing systems and manage version control for successful delivery. Maintain an active Secret security clearance and report to the Army Portfolio Acquisition Executive.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience
- US citizen
- Experience with real-time systems and diverse software development
- Experience with prototyping and integrating new software interfaces
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Capability to lead problem identification and resolution for both system design and integration
- Capability to investigate and present technical solutions to improve performance
- Capability to assess customer and user needs following agile principles
- Capability to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement of existing solutions
- Capability to break down complex ideas into easy-to-understand tasks
- Capability to coordinate needs and priorities with Product and Solution Management
- Active Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, AEGIS, and/or other Army weapons / sensors
- Proficiency in Atlassian Products (e.g. JIRA/ Confluence)
- Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and agile methodologies
- Prior Software Architectural/Engineering leadership experience
