Job Summary
Monitor and verify all table fills, credit requests, and cash/chip transactions between dealers and patrons while maintaining accurate logs for chips, cards, and gaming equipment. Observe and report policy violations, suspicious play, and collusion to Poker Management, and assist in identifying individuals causing disturbances to the Security Department. Communicate all defrauding activity promptly and provide exceptional customer service to patrons in a professional manner. Attend all games protection, education, and company-directed training as deemed necessary by management. Act as a role model for Downstream Casino Resort and the Poker Department while adhering to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old or older upon employment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Must deal effectively and interact well with all Guests and Employees
- Must have effective communication skills when dealing with other departments as it pertains to the Poker Department
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner according to DCR standards
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues
- Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Must maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment
- Must be physically mobile
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to carry up to 15 pounds
- Must be able to bend, reach, twist, and grip items while working at assigned table
- Must be able to operate in a mentally and physically stressful situation
Desired Qualifications
- Candidate shall preferably have at least two (2) years' experience as a full-time Floor Supervisor, or Dual Rate Floor Supervisor, or a combination of both
- Candidate shall preferably have at least three (3) years' experience in all games offered at DCR
