Job Summary
Appropriately triages all calls and inquiries about symptoms and signs of poisonings, then provides management and treatment recommendations. Delivers accurate information about symptoms and treatment to consumers, health care providers, and other agencies, and performs follow-up calls to hospitals until discharge. Maintains accurate medical records, codes information correctly, and writes appropriate case notes. Reports to the Director and Managing Director of the Tennessee Poison Center. Responsibilities include obtaining critical information, determining the need for toxicologist consultation, and documenting histories, symptoms, assessments, and recommendations. Requires knowledge of records management, call-center problem solving, and drug poisoning assessments; aims to improve patient care and support organizational goals within Vanderbilt Health. Education: Bachelor's degree; licensure in Pharmacy, Nursing, or Medicine; 2+ years of relevant experience. Core capabilities emphasize collaboration, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality, compassionate service.
Required Qualifications
