Job Summary
Receive specimens from phlebotomists and couriers, operating a delivery van to bring the mobile lab to high-volume STAT testing areas when applicable. Perform waived laboratory tests in point of care settings including Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Molecular, and Coagulation, while monitoring quality of reagents and instrument working conditions. Enter patient demographics and test orders into the lab information system, check quality control prior to running and reporting results, and confirm abnormal findings before release. Process specimens, log requisitions, troubleshoot client or instrument issues, and maintain inventory of supplies while ensuring compliance with state documentation requirements. Work M-F 2:00pm-10:30pm as a full-time employee in a remote or mobile setting.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record and ability to drive safely
- Familiarity with lab process and workflow
- High school degree or equivalent
- Any certification/licensure needed per state requirements
- State of California only – qualify as testing personnel for waived testing
- a minimum of licensed medical laboratory technician or licensed vocation nurse
