Job Summary
Point of Care Lab Tech (MLT) coordinates and oversees Point of Care services across the Carle Health System, ensures staff training and competency, monitors quality control and proficiency testing, manages equipment maintenance and supply inventory, participates in policy/procedure reviews, regulatory compliance, and implementation of new testing platforms; acts as technical consultant for test methodologies, performance criteria, and remediation actions while providing on-site or remote support as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Certifications: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) (ASCP) within 1 year
- Associate's Degree: Biological Science
- Associate's Degree: Medical Laboratory Technology
- 4yrs of Clinical laboratory experience
