Job Summary
Diagnose and treat injuries and diseases of the feet, ankles, and lower legs, including conducting foot and ankle surgeries and removing bone spurs. Examine patients' legs to identify conditions, review medical history, and order diagnostic tests such as X-rays, ultrasounds, and bone density scans. Prescribe orthotics, joint pain relief medication, and therapeutic treatments like casting and laser therapy for deformities, fractures, and arthritis. Advise patients on foot care and wellness practices while managing sport-related injuries and genetic abnormalities. Maintain excellent communication skills with children and the elderly, demonstrating empathy and patience when dealing with serious diseases.
Required Qualifications
- To be considered for this role, you should have a doctoral degree in Pediatric Medicine
- practical experience in a clinic or hospital
- Experience as a Podiatrist
- Excellent knowledge of therapeutic and surgical treatments for the lower extremities
- Familiar with all types of foot problems, including genetic abnormalities and deformities
- Up-to-date with the latest technologies and treatments in Podiatry
